Since I posted type-1 diabetes, I might as well post type-2. This type of diabetes is called Non-Insulin Dependent. My mother belongs to this category.
- Occurs in 90% of diabetes cases
- Occurs mainly in adults, particularly in overweight and inactive persons
- Insulin is produced but body cells resist its action and glucose cannot enter cells
- Usually treated with diet and exercise. Sometimes requires medication (tablets or insulin injections).
- Skin infection with slow healing
- Tingling/ numbness in feet
If you have any of these feelings, it's time to do something with your diet and or your lifestyle. I am trying my best to do what i can to avoid this.
